| The Crown of Wenceslas of Bohemia - Minature Wenceslas I was crowned with his wife Kunhuty in 1228. The crown is made of four gold plates set with 91 polished rubies, emeralds and sapphires, and 20 pearls, with two arches supporting a monde and cross reputed to contain a thorn from the Crown of Thorns.
Kept in St. Vitus's Cathedral, Prague, it is one of the oldest and finest examples of the mediaeval Lily crown to have survived.

| The Popes 1805 Triple Tiara - Miniature This huge triple Tiara was created in 1804 as a gift from Napoleon - who had previously emptied the Vatican treasury - to Pope Pius IV, who consequently agreed to attend Emperor Napoleon's Coronation in 1805.
The triple tiara is richly jewelled, and enameled with 3 inscriptions glorifying the Emperor.

| Crown of St. Stephen - Miniature This ancient Byzantine crown, which has survived the Mongols, Turks, Civil Wars,the Nazis and the Soviets, is believed to have been sent by Pope Sylvester II to St. Stephen I in the year 1000.
The bent cross has long been a point of speculation, During the 2nd World War the crown was sheltered in Canada giving the opportunity for detailed examination, and the cross seems to have been intentionally made bent! We may never know why!
The crown was returned to Hungary in 1978.

| The Crown of Eric of Sweden - Miniature Eric XIV was the eldest son and successor of Gustave Wasa. Founder of the Swedish Dynasty, Eric became King of Sweden in 1560, commissioning a wonderful new crown for his coronation.
After a disastrous reign, he was deposed in 1569, and poisoned in 1577 by his brothers. The crown has been used for the coronations of all Swedish monarchs since.

| The Crown of Alfonso of Spain - Miniature The ancient regalia of Spain was destroyed in a great fire in 1734. A new crown and sceptre were made in the 19th century to be displayed at accession ceremonies and at the opening of the Cortes ( the Spanish parliament).
The crown is of plain design, with a golden circlet featuring eight gold plates bearing the heraldic emblems of the Kingdom with four arches raised in the shape of foliage, finally topped by a Globe and Cross.

Made and designed by Jeremie Pauzie - the Crown Jeweller, the crown is based upon an ancient Byzantine design - 2 half spheres representing the eastern and western empires of Rome, connected by a garland of oak leaves and acorns which represent the temporal power of the monarchy, surmounted by a large spinel.

| The Crown of Portugal - Miniature This elegant chased gold crown contains no gems. It was made in the workshops of Antonio Gomes da Silva in Rio de Janeiro in 1817, for King John VI.
The crown is currently kept in the National Palace of Ajuda, Lisbon, with other items of regalia.

| The Crown of Saxony (August II) - Miniature In 1697 the Elector of Saxony, Frederick August - known as 'August the Strong' - became King of Poland. His opponent to the claim of the Polish throne was Louis, Prince of Conti, who lost the vote of the Polish Nobles, and stole the crown jewels in spite, hiding them in Lubwola. As a result a new set had to be made for the coronation in Cracow of August II, after which it was put on display in Dresden, where it quickly disappeared.
The set was discovered in 1929 and is now on display in the Royal Castle of Dresden.

| The Crown of Norway - Miniature Charles XIV was crowned as King of Norway in 1818 and a new crown was made for his coronation by the Swedish jeweller 'Eric Linderoth'.
The golden crown has seven strawberry leaves, and eight half arches, which rise to the centre, topped by a large globe and a diamond cross. A remarkable, large Chrysoberyl purchased from Brazil, was mounted in the front of the crown.
