The only crown in the Jewel House made of Platinum, it is set entirely with diamonds. This beautiful crown was made for the coronation of Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, when she was crowned Queen Consort to George VI in 1937.

It contains the famous Koh-i-noor diamond, which, due to superstition, can never be worn by a man, as every male owner has died a tragic death.

This crown was made for the crowning of King George V as Emperor of India in 1911 As the ceremony was held in Delhi, India, a new crown had to be made, as by an act of Parliament the British Crown Jewels cannot leave the shores of England.

The crown contains over 6,000 diamonds, emeralds, sapphires, rubies and pearls.

George IV Diadem - Miniature George IV Diadem - Miniature
This diadem was made for the coronation of George IV in 1820, but is better known as the one worn by Queen Victoria and our current Queen Elizabeth II on ceremonial state occasions. It also features on coins, bank notes and stamps, making it the most recognisable piece of the Queens Jewellery.

It bears the symbols of the rose, thistle and shamrock, and contains 1,333 diamonds including 4 canary diamonds.
